  1. April is coming up fast and since our book club meets on the first Thursday, don't forget that is THIS week, April 1! We will meet at 7pm at the Pioneer Bookshop. All are welcome to join us whether or not you have read the book. I must confess, I have a lot to read to have The Known World completed by Thursday. I hope the rest of you come with probing questions for the others in order to help me out.

Next month we will be reading My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult.

  2. This book is beautifully written but there are too many characters and I found myself having to check the back of the book quite a bit to remind myself who was who. Great foreshadowing and style but hard to get through. I've started another book because I'm bored and will pick it up another day...I'm determined to finish it!
